Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 26, 2026 • Last Updated: October 2026
1. Service Agreements & Scope
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all services provided by North Dallas Lights, LLC ("Company", "we", "our") to residential and commercial clients ("Customer", "you"). Our services include the design, installation, in-season maintenance, takedown, and storage of commercial-grade holiday lighting, as well as the permanent installation of low-voltage architectural LED track systems.
2. Turnkey Holiday Lighting Policies
- All-Inclusive Service: Holiday lighting packages are turnkey service agreements. The Company provides commercial-grade lighting materials, custom-cut wiring, commercial controllers, installation, maintenance, takedown, and climate-controlled storage. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate purchase contract, lighting hardware remains the property of the Company.
- Installation Windows: Holiday installations begin in mid-October and continue through mid-December based on schedule reservations. Specific requested installation dates are weather-dependent.
- January Takedown: Takedowns commence January 2nd and conclude by late January, contingent on ice, rain, and freezing winds. Customers do not need to be present during takedown.
- 48-Hour In-Season Guarantee: Between Thanksgiving Day and January 1st, Company will repair any dislodged clips, failed bulbs, or tripped timers within 48 hours of notice at zero cost. Severe severe weather events (tornadoes, catastrophic hail) may extend response times.
3. Permanent Architectural Track Warranties
- 5-Year Hardware Warranty: Permanent LED nodes, track extrusions, and power supplies carry a 5-year replacement warranty against manufacturing defects.
- Workmanship Guarantee: Company warrants all mounting, fastening, and cable concealment against loose attachment for the life of the installation under normal Texas weather conditions.
- HOA Compliance: Track extrusions are powder-coated to match trim colors and installed under eaves. Customer is responsible for verifying any required HOA architectural review filings, though Company provides specification documentation upon request.
4. Property Access & Electrical Supply
Customer agrees to provide safe, unimpeded access to the exterior perimeter of the property, including unlocked gates and secured domestic pets on scheduled service days. Customer is responsible for providing functional, grounded 120V exterior electrical outlets. Company is not liable for existing home electrical panel deficiencies or pre-existing breaker trips.
5. Zero Roof Damage Guarantee & Liability
Company utilizes non-penetrating commercial shingle and gutter clips for seasonal holiday installations. Company never drives staples, nails, or penetrating fasteners through roof shingles. Company carries $2,000,000 in Commercial General Liability Insurance. Any claims regarding property damage must be reported to Company in writing within 48 hours of service completion.
6. Payment Terms & Invoicing
Residential projects require a reservation deposit upon contract signing, with the remaining balance due upon completion of initial installation. Commercial and HOA contracts may be invoiced Net 30 upon formal approval and credit verification.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal proceedings arising from or relating to these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts situated in Collin County or Rockwall County, Texas.
